Newtomech recently provided technical support to develop Windmill power transmission coupling made of Glass Fiber Reinforced Composites (GFRC) with metal flanges at either ends. The power transmission capacity is 2MW with a torque of 16900N-M at rated speed of 1200rpm. This GFRC coupling has been implemented in few Wind Turbine manufacturer in India.
